I have quite a large neck which my doctor tells me is causing my sleep apnoea. How big does your neck have to be to cause it?

    To measure your neck circumference:

    1. Find a point on your neck approximately one inch above the start of your shoulders.
    2. Measure around your neck from this point.

A neck circumference greater than 17 inches (43 cm) in a man or 16 inches (41 cm) in a woman increases the risk of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.
