According to research into the prevalence of sleep apnoea in men and separate research into women:

It has been estimated that 3.2% of men and 0.6% of women between the ages of 20 and 44 have Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.

Approximately 11.3% of men and 2% of women between the ages of 45 to 64 have Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.

An estimated 18.1% of men and 7.0% of women between the ages of 61 and 100 have Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.

Less than 1% of people have Central Sleep Apnoea.
